Chris Dillon is a Bastrop native and 1990 graduate of Bastrop High School. He received a Doctor of Jurisprudence from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 1999 and was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2000. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State University) and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Baylor University.
While at St. Mary’s, Dillon completed a program of studies on Global Legal Issues at The University of Innsbruck, Austria, under the direction of his professors and The Honorable William H. Rehnquist, then Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court. He also served as an appellate briefing attorney for the Seventh Court of Appeals of Texas before returning to Bastrop to open his private law practice in 2001.
Dillon is a member of the College of the State Bar of Texas, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the Bastrop Chamber of Commerce, and the Bastrop County Bar Association.
He and his wife of 20 years, Kristina, live in Bastrop along with their two sons.
